Vampire Face Lift
Minimally invasive; using the body’s own natural resources and requiring little to no recovery time, the Vampire Face Lift, like the Vampire Breast Lift, was first introduced in the UK by Dr Sherif Wakil.
Vampire Face Lift Basics
Also offered exclusively by the Dr SW Skin Clinic, the now highly popular Vampire Face Lift addresses facial ageing signs both on and below the surface of the skin. The results of this treatment include increased collagen production; restoring of volume (lifting and plumping); improvement of skin complexion (texture and tone) and improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and lines.
The Vampire Face Lift Procedure
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) with a high growth factor* content is harvested (via centrifugal treatment) from a little blood taken from the client. The harvested plasma is subsequently injected, using the so-called ‘sandwich technique’ developed by Dr Wakil, into the client’s face. This technique involves injection of plasma into the deep layers of the skin to stimulate fibroblasts (cells responsible for collagen production), as well as superficial injections designed to rejuvenate the skin’s outer layer.
*Growth factors are the cells in the body that are responsible for repair and regeneration
Who can have the Vampire Face Lift?
Used to address a broad variety of skin and facial ageing concerns, the Vampire Face Lift is a highly diverse treatment option for women and men of any age (minimum age 18) with a desire to turn back time and rejuvenate their skin. An initial consultation with Dr Wakil in order to assess whether the Vampire Face Lift is the right option for any given individual is, as with any other treatment, necessary. It should be noted that certain conditions, like, for instance, chronic liver pathology; sepsis or platelet dysfunction syndrome may make some individuals unsuitable for this procedure.
Is the Vampire Face Lift Painful?
As with other Vampire treatments, the use of small needles to inject the plasma may cause a little discomfort. This is, however, minimised by our use of topical anaesthetics, and most clients find the procedure very tolerable. Some clients do, as a matter of fact, not experience any pain or discomfort at all.
Duration of the Procedure
The Vampire Face Lift normally takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.
Risks and Down/Recovery Time
Use of the client’s own blood – with no external additives of any kind – and sterile disposable kits (which are disposed off after being used just once on a single client) make PRP one of cosmetic medicine’s safest treatments, with no major side-effects or risk factors whatsoever. The procedure also has little to no down/recovery time. Immediately after treatment, the client’s face may appear a little pink. This will, however, resolve itself within a few hours. Any minor bruising developing at injection sites will also recede within a matter of a few days.
Benefits of the Vampire Face Lift
Offering natural looking, potentially outstanding results, the Vampire Face Lift will:
- Make skin look firmer
- Visibly improve wrinkles and lines
- Improve skin texture and tone
- Provide a lifting effect by restoring volume
Patients report that their skin looks brighter, more hydrated and healthy, with an altogether more youthful glow.
How long do these Effects last?
Depending on the individual and how well he or she takes care of his/her face, the results of the Vampire Face Lift typically last for between 12 and 24 months.
